Do you know that what people say, think and write about you do not affect you?
You are rather affected by how you respond to the external forces. Your response is your choice; its impact to your life is your creation. If you know and live this simple truth, you will not blame anything external ever again in your life. You can then consciously and persistently create any condition of your choice and live the way you want.
I used to think that the default state of being is happiness, but I realised that happiness is an emotion released when something we perceive as good happens to us or we realise an expected outcome. This is one dimensional as we can have different expected outcomes within a day that could trigger both happiness and sadness in our lives. Therefore the default state of being cannot be happiness or sadness, neither could it be positive or negative. It has to be something that exists outside of positive and negative polarities. Constantly holding unto certain expected outcome causes untold sufferings to us time and time again and we always fail to pause and learn our lessons.
To understand the default state of being, we should take a clue from inspired writing on how God operates. He does not discriminate and gives life and blessings to both the so called good and evil.
To be able to do what God does, we have to transcend the positive and negative polarities and learn to be neutral and non judgemental in dealing with ourselves, people and situations. We should always return back to the present moment as observers and allow the wisdom of God to prevail in every circumstances. Being a neutral observant, we cannot take sides, but should trust that the universe will take care of every situation in accordance to the law of cause and effect that never fails and is never partial.
Surrender in the here and now, observe how your emotions play out in different circumstances, accept and love yourself in all situations and just be grateful for being. Know that you’re going to live with yourself forever, so the early you start to get comfortable with all your experiences, the more fulfilling your life will be.
Be truthful to yourself. Always aim to do your best at all times. Know when you’re not doing your best and why. Also know why you should do your best and don’t let anything stop you.
Create the state of being you want and don’t wait for circumstances to be in your favour to do so
Life is not about gains and losses. It’s not about beginnings and endings or ups and downs. Life is about living and experiencing the totality of what unfolds before us without judgement.
Money is side effect of success.
Success is a side effect of who you are.
Who you are is a side effect of your habitual thoughts, feelings, actions and perception of yourself.
Suffering is one of the greatest forces in life. It forces us to choose good over evil to stop the suffering getting worse.
